America's Pastime

On Friday, August 5, we had the opportunity to go to an Angels game as a family.  It was Vivian's first professional baseball game.  We planned it so that we could enjoy the fireworks after the game.  Thankfully, the girls were pretty patient since it went 10 innings.  The Angels beat the Mariners, 1-0.

Vivi has never been good at sensory overload.  The noise was a bit much for her when we first arrived.  She soon warmed up to the festivities and got into the clapping and dancing that comes along with America's pastime.  She had lots of admirers.  I heard several people in the row behind us talking about how they couldn't get enough of her and how she was too adorable.  I assured them that she really is as cute and fantastic as she appears.

The firework show was pretty amazing!  I have to say though that the music that they chose to go with it was pretty lame.  I guess I've been spoiled by the firework show at Disneyland.  (Oh, Disneyland, how I miss thee!)  Here's Viv being mesmerized by the firework show.

It was a lovely evening.  I really enjoy watching sporting events live.  Abby got bored with it all pretty fast.  Vivi probably would have too if she wasn't so into the dancing opportunities.
